“Uh, Oh Here Comes Christmas”

Synopsis:
This play is a nostalgic reflection on Christmas, so auditioners are requested to prepare a short monologue, anecdote, or story concerning Christmas, whether their own, or someone else’s, true or fictional.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN
PHIL: (60ish), educated, paternal, witty, and a bit of a curmudgeon. He and Peggy are paired as a couple through much of the show.
NICK: (40ish), wry, but with a warm/patemal side. An excellent comedian with dramatic substance. He and Dawn are paired as a couple in “Item #7.”
RUSTY: (30ish), soulful and wise for his age, but with a twinkle in his eye and a good sense of humor.
DAWN: (40ish), warm, versatile, self-confident, with a true spark of life.
PEGGY: (50-60), maternal, witty and warm, with an air of wisdom from knowing how to live a full life. She has a real depth of character as well as a great sense of humor. Also a bit of a curmudgeon.
